    thanks...

Well, what you are talking about has nothing to do with cams for a daily driver, so kindly get off this thread. Next polite insult please

I've already notified the mods about this and another thread. If they want to ban, issue warnings, it's up to them not to you.

Well, then I will be the one who leaves this thread....it's a good thing there were at least 2 pages of good answers, because the last pages are worthless. You and your buddies have fun bickering at each other. I'm going to drink my coffee and design this subdivision.

Perhaps this could get back on topic ? Imagine that there are alot of people still wanting to try and learn more about cams.

I have the January 08 issue of GMHT, and Katech is showing a cam that has 233/276@.050 and .630 lift. They also have in another issue a cam thatis 220/244@.050 and .615/.648 lift. These cams are installed in their Ls7. The car was driven around for two hours, in traffic without any bogging or hasitation, did not overheat. Do you think this will make a good cam for driving once a week or once a month? I like TR224 and am trying to deside wheither to go big or like most of you go with the 224? Katech cars are putting out 640hp/555fttq and the other one is 600hp/500fttq. My car is not a daily driver, it's a when I want to drive it car.

Probably no one, except that one person. Only people who don't know much about other cams or really worry about the springs. Sure the hotcam produces power, but there are reasons why people move on to different cams after they use the hotcam.

I vote for the TR224. No idea why he is pressing everyone to get the hotcam. Products speak for themselves, just do the research and I'm sure you'll find the right one.

Sorry I don't know too much about cams so i was just curious.. Not too far down the road I want to get a heads/cams package. My goal is to be in the mid 400's.. like 440/450 HP. It's my daily driver so I don't want to lose a lot of driveability obviously..

I'll probably go with the 224 just because that seems to be what everyone recommends and / or has in their cars, and everybody seems to love them.. But what would be a good set of heads to go with the 224 cam and where could I get them?

well for heads, for what a pair of AFR heads cost, you can get some patriot heads, fast 90 intake and nick williams ported throttle body for not all that much more and make more power than just afr heads
