    Best heads

I'm in need of new heads and I was just curious to everyone's opinion of their favorite heads. The cheaper the better

What are your goals, what mods do you have or intend in the near future, what is your budget? Best heads questions are difficult to answer without knowing.

best heads for a LSX motor have to be AFR's.

or I personally would try to find some square port cadillac L92 heads, bu you need the matching intake. they flow very good numbers in stock form

my car currently has ls6 cam and heads, shorty headers, MAF, and ORY with electric cutouts. I'm going to start fresh on a new ls1 within the next 3 years. This motor I'm on now has a bad intake valve in cylinder #7. My budget for this motor is "cheaper the better" anything below 500 bucks would be great.

    Stock heads

If you have ls-6 heads why not stick w/ those and get them ported? That is the cheapest option other than checking them or keeping them stock.

On your budget with the LS6 cam I'd suggest a valvejob/rebuild of the LS6 heads with a good set of double springs (for down the road) and supporting components. With good springs, you've a decent base to build upon for a more aggressive cam down the road.

i thought l92's wouldn't work on the 3.9" bore engines

if the are the 243 castings keeep em, if not you could wait for a good used set! i bought prc stage 2.5 from tsp, 11-12 hundred new, but would definitly get a bigger cam.
It's nothing my credit card can't fix!
