I agree, stick with a standard split. Perhaps a 226/232.

    I'm looking at a 224/224 with 112 lsa

Yank ss3200 ,3:23 gears and KOOK lt headers lid keeping my heads and this is the last of my modding looking for good streetable and quiet valvetrain :-)

Not a bad choice, I ran the 224/224, 112 for several years. Personally now I'd go with the 228/228 instead. Street manners should be the same but would make a few extra hp. The 224 already had a noisy valvetrain in mine.

I did the magic stick 3 route (114 LSA though), LS6 intake 4.11's and 3600 stall, tune with no problems (well due to parts anyway). Could sit at the redlight with the AC on loping like crazy no problem, Could even start the car without even sitting in it, just get it tuned good. The only aggrivating part about it was cruising at 30 MPH it would surge some. Putting it (MS3) in a 5.3 to replace the long dead LS1.

Having a small cam is like having a small dick, everytime you go to use it you wish it was bigger
