    Not that this will happen to everybody, but I watch smaller cammed cars outrun larger cammed cars regularly. It isn't all about peak power or dyno numbers.
    228/228 is a great driver that sounds mean AND will scream from damn near any RPM's.
    yeah..from what i hear its not peak power as much as a better torque curve over a wider rpm range....

    Exactly!!! Your not shooting for a powerband that looks like a spike with that high # for 800 rpm........Unless you have a ALL out racecar that is geared to keep it in that small window of rpm through out the hole track.

    That is why #'s don't mean squat!!

    If your looking for the all out best cam for your combo DON'T BUY AN OFF THE SHELF GRIND. Get a specific cam ground to your application from a good manufacture. A lot of times when I call them with the car info to get a grind they will end up putting two different grinds together to come up with the best stick.
    As I've stated many times you can't go wrong with CamMotion. Just make sure you are honest with all info they ask.

    that 228 cam looks promising till my 408 is built,hmm

    There are better cams than that for your 408, I would honestly call around before I would start taking advise off a forum. The companys can help you a lot more than we can... Plus there is always he said she said, and thats your baby. Just saying...
