basic cam question
I'm looking at buying a car that has the 235/240 .605"/.609" 111.5 +2 lsa TSP cam in it, along with some other mods. My question is just how the cam will affect the longevity of the engine and gas mileage. I have driven the car around and am fine with the driveability of the car just wondering what kind of maitenance or long term problems a big cam like that would have. Thanks.

Pewter- all bore 370 Trans Am
valve springs will wear a bit faster with the higher ramp rates. mpgs will decrease, how much depends on how good of a tune you have. I dont see that it will ruin the longevity of the motor itself, but the valvetrain will take its toll.
