high 11's is attainable with complimenting susp & tires

224 cam only LS1's go mid to high 11's

    its all about the combo
get stuff that matches and your set... its all about the PROVEN combos

PS - a good stall converter is the most important piece of our cars

Yank 3200-3600 is your best bet (2.3 - 2.7 STR)

    1) WHAT IS THE DIFF BETWEEN A 224 CAM AND A V2?
    2) WITH A GOOD TUNE COULD IT BE A PRETTY SMOOTH DAILY DRIVER?
    3) LARGER INJECTORS NEEDED (LIKE WITH A SUPER/TURBOCHARGER?)

I GUESS I AM JUST BEING A LITTLE ON THE CAUTIOUS SIDE.....I WANT MY CAMARO TO BE BAD ASS BUT NOT TO RADICAL....I JUST WANT TO PUSH THE ENVELOPE FOR A DD TO THE LIMIT

Thunder Racing 224/224 .563/.563 114 LSA (since your auto)
    Texas Speed 224/224 .581/.581
Texas Speed Torquer II 232/234 .598/.602

A GOOD Tune is more important then the combo... you'll want to find a reputable LS1 tuning shop for a DynoTune... making a long drive is worth it... dont cheap out on a Tune

stock injectors should be fine... when its being tuned the tuner should check the duty cycles to verf they're not being maxxed out or comming to close to 100%

personally i vote for the 224 (THUNDER RACING'S 224) to be the best DD cam out there... it equalizes the compromises IMO.... 6spd cars are better equipt to DD with bigger cams

    Ok.....here Is What I Have In Mind...torque V2 Cam, Ported Ls6 Heads, Ls6 Intake, 342 Gears, 3200 Stall.

What Do You Thing Of The Combo? (342 Gears Because I Like To Get A Little Bit Of Gas Milage)

    ive run a 232/240 .607/.608 112 for the last 6 years.
the first 4 of that was on a header only car, stock heads, pistons etc. (hardened pushrods, and isky springs though)

So Last Night I Was Thinking..if The Stock Injectors Can Still Be Used Even If I Have 373s Instead Of 342s Wouldnt It Not Matter For Daily Driving? Maybe A Stupid Question But A Question None The Less. Doesnt The Gas Milage Get Determined By The Injectors? Keep In Mind I Am Only Thinking About Normal Not Wot Driving. It May Be In A Higher Gear But......i Dont Know Some One Help My Stupid Ass Out!

correct - they are trying things with the L92 on LS1's... we'll see where it goes........

injectors do effect your gas mileage... more importantly you upgrade injectors so they high a higher max flow rate to support a certain hp level
however tuning changes the pulse rates etc necc for the cam (& stock tune will relearn the cam a little & adj the tables accordingly to try and keep it running - dumping more fuel)

I drive my 233/235 .644/.594 112+2LSA cammed ls1 ww/4.10 gears everywhere. It's my daily driver and I make trips from Ocala to Tampa every weekend. Probably drive around 200 miles per week. Half of it is city and half is highway. I average around 18 mpg if I keep my foot out of it doing it that way. Get around 20-22mpg strictly highway and about 14-16 strictly city. Makes over 400rwhp and is great. I have a tune from Jeremy Formatto and that helps tremedously.

This cam drives better than my 224/224 .565/.565 110+4lsa cam that i had previously and makes a ton more power.
