Anti-freeze?
Alot of people say not to put Dex in because4 of the aluminum engine.
Is the glycol better or what is the best to use?
Since ls1 is all aluminum,I know all you guys that are smarter than me.

I did a lot of reading on this topic when I serviced our cooling system back in March. It seems that the problems with DexCool were all from the early days. What clinched it for me was dropping the coolant and seeing just how clean the radiator core and block passages were. At 71,500 miles, it did not appear that the system had ever been flushed before (we had purchased the car 7 months previously).
When you flush your system, make sure to drop the block drains as there is a lot of coolant that remains in the engine. On the driver side, there is a 17mm allen head plug just behind and above the alternator. On the passenger side, there is another plug -- it is probably metric, but a 5/16" allen head fit nice and tight -- just above the starter.
