    Another Oil Pump Question

Here's my question, probably been asked before but wth. I was looking around online and ran across a corvette Z06 oil pump, and was wondering if it would fit my 01SS. Here's the part GM PART # 12586665. I don't have a pic, but was wondering if anyone could help me out and let me know if it would work on my LS1.

I just did some research on pumps and the ls6 oil pump from a z06 is the same oil pump in your ls1.

The oil pumps in the 98's and 99's were kinda iffy.(high failure rate due to design problems). The pumps in the 00 thru 04 ls1/ls6 motors are the same. Its a market ploy. If its on a vett it must be better. There it a site on ebay that sells ported pumps with higher tension spring for a higher oil volume, for like 90.00. The pumps are new w/ spring.
