Another Head and Cam question
I searched and couldn't find the answer to my question, so here it goes. My plan is to get as close to 500 HP NA rwhp as possible, not just to say I have it but also the track times to back it up. I am thinking of going with a big cam like the vindicator cam which is 240/244 .605/.596 112 LSA, might end up doing a custom grind though. So I am trying to figure out what heads to go with. I want everything port matched to reduce turbuleance and to maximize flow. I was thinking of going with Edelbrock's Pro-port heads since I can have them custom cnc'd to basically whatever I want, that and they can be port matched to my FAST and my headers. I know a lot of you will probably say go AFR or TFS. I was thinking of sending the Edelbrock Pro-port heads to TEA to have them do a custom cnc for me. So my question is would that be the best idea or is there off shelf ready to bolt on heads that will do exactly as I described? Or even another head that is set up to be ported like those edelbrock heads are.

Just curious why not a 402/408 stroker? That will get you the 500rwhp your looking for also is the car a DD? your going to have to go with a pretty big cam to get close to 500. I would go with a set of tfs heads but that's me.

So I talked with Kevin at Vengeance Racing and he suggested the Vindicator Camshaft and Trickflow CNC 215cc heads. He said with all my supporting mods I would be really close if not at the 500 rwhp mark. He's going to set up a special package for me, hopefully I can buy this in the fall when my TA goes away for until the spring, this will be my winter project!
