    724hp ??

Well, I was at work the other day talking to some of my buddies about one of our superiors trans-ams. He had brought it to work earlier that day, and I guess had been talking to them about it. Well, apparently it was stroked to a 6.0, and "fully built" so without nitrous it was making a claimed 724 hp.... and he had a 150 shot on it... (it also supposedly ran 8's)

Now, my first instinct(which I acted on) was to laugh in their faces, because I found the idea of a 700+ whp NA 6.0 to be pretty funny, especially when it was driven into work with the stock tires on it. Now, the 2 of my buddies swear up and down that they saw the dyno chart and time slips and crap, but I just can't bring myself to believe them.

I am right here arent I?

It is doubtful. But stranger things have happened.

And it isn't stroked to 6.0L. It has a different block if it is a 6.0L.
I have a fully built 6.6L....531 to the wheels. Even with a 150 shot, it isn't enough for 8's. Probably not even 9's without taking some SERIOUS weight out of it.

But yeah....700+ RWHP can be done N/A. But it would be a pain in the ass to drive. But it could be done.
Did you hear it?? Would have to have one hell of a cam in it.

    That all depends.
Mine is a rather large cam (248/254 629/622 113) but idles great at 925RPM's. Sounds like a healthy cam, but nothing crazy.
Although...that is small compared to what would have to be in that motor to see 700 at the wheels.

Maybe they meant flywheel HP? Even then, I'm doubtful... Now a fully-built stroker WITH a 150shot could hit that number and still be street-driven.

did you look at the heads? maybe a huge radiator with like 4 fans blowing all the time! the intake manifold? the headers?

It sounds doubtful to make that much hp without nx, blower or turbo on the street! look at the drive train, does it have saftey loop? 12 bolt?? look at the roll cage if any! wheel studs!

you can tell just by looking from the outside if a car can run quick, just by the rules of the nhra and race tracks.
