    Question 416 LS3 Stroker

I looking at an LS3 stroker with occassional(sanctioned Drag Racing only)
    N2O usage.

I am thinking forged rotating assembly 4.070 bore (12-12.5:1 CR),6.125rods, 4.0 crank, hyd roller cam with 112-116 LSA,ported LS3 type heads, ported FAST 102MM intake or Holley Modular Intake with a single 4500 pattern TB.

Desired performance is 540-625 FWHP "OFF The Bottle" and 100-225 HP Progressive Direct port or EFI plate N2O.

Anyone using either the LS3 "Airwolf" Heads or modular Holley intake?

Any ideas about heads or cam?

Thanks for your time and ideas.

That compression looks just a tad high for pump gas anyway I would maybe try and drop that down to the 11.5 area. As far as heads go I would maybe look into a set of cnc ported l92s and a fast 102 to top it all off. For a cam I recommend you talk to geoff at eps cams or find patrick g over on ls1tech and talk with him they both do a very fine job specing cams especially patrick g wit ls3 combos.

for a "race car" only the compression should be fine, but your gonna have to opt for race gas 112+ octaine. the build sounds like it would be fast. what crank, rods, pistons you thinking of going with? and for the eps/pat g comment... my eps camshaft works great.

I am thinking E-85 as fuel.

I was thinking Diamond pistons, and maybe Probe rods & crank.
