    Customer service is horrible. I consider it non-existant.
    Parts are sub-par compared to the newer stuff out.
    Pricing = HIGH.

    whether you buy a LS2 (364) or have a 402 made like i'm guessing you did, it's still a larger motor than a LS1. and this isn't a bash on a member just because he'd buy a factory larger displacement motor vs building one thread either.

    yeah no shit sherlock, of course its not a stroker, and no i wouldnt pay 9k for it but i have seen them for around 7k on ebay but with more miles, around 18000 or so, so thats actually not a bad deal. With a few more mods that will easily hit 500 hp, which is about what you would end up paying for everything that goes along with putting a 408 stroker in.

    don't add an insult back to a member that has insulted you. just report and let the moderators handle it as i already have. keep on topic or the next move is lock down.

    That EBay deal would be great if you needed everything there for a transplant.

    But you can build a mild 402/408 for that price.

    You can do a 402 for under 4 grand! and then buy a new trans with manly parts and still come out cheaper

    wow dude you sound like a real swell guy to talk to anyway, bout as much fun as a brick, and you can get a base 402 or 408 for AROUND 4k, but then itd cost you with the retrofit to your lt1. Here you get a fairly new, great engine and transmission, with a pretty easy swap. Me personally, id go the ls2 route, then while you have the engine out, swap in a bigger cam, put on some longtubes and with a good tune you will easily hit 500 hp. But then again a lot of guys get pride outta saying they have a 400 or 500 + hp lt1 engine.
