People kept saying that thing will have shitty street manners, blah blah.. Honestly, if u think this cam has bad street manners you should keep your car stock. Just my .02
Exactly. That cam will drive close to stock from a good tuner. My 230/236 drives fine, and if I had to I could DD it no problem.

had it on a mail order tune for a year now and I love it, just never had it tuned or on the dyno...Going to get it tuned in the next week or two pending a reply from Frost lol.

I guess people see the 111 lsa and get scared of all that valve overlap...?

I honestly missed the LSA number on it still should drive decent but with a noticeable chop to it.

Just theory on my part, I haven't tried 2 such different motors, but wouldn't the hp/torque curves and other factors be very different between the two?
I wouldn't get too hung up on dyno numbers. But you guys are right, tollerance level is what it comes down to. Drivability is subjective.
I personally don't think a 240 at .050 cam is that big. You start getting up in the 250's-260's and you are getting somewhere. But these LS motors with great cylinder heads don't usually require that much to make decent power. Depends on what you want.
I still drive cars with 4.88 gears, no overdrive, and big solid flat tappet cams in the 260's at .050 on a 108 lsa, so my tollerance is a bit different than most peoples

The guy I bought my shortblock off of had a 238/242 .650/.650 108lsa in this one, but I opted to keep my cam so I wouldn't be changing valve spring all the time in my daily driver....I'd love to hear the difference from the 112 to the 108 though

No I know et's are what matters but until I get a 9 inch my car is not going to the track (already murdered 1 10 bolt). Plus I could use a driver mod I used to drive my dad's 71 c10 with a 3 on the tree and a worked 350 I dont remember exact cam specs but it was pretty big and on something like a 108 lsa...that thing was a PITA to drive, but very fun!

I've got that same cam (XFI/X-ER lobes) except mine is 234/598 on the exhaust. Drives like a pussycat but cold start SUCKS! It just doesn't want to idle. Had the tuner tweak it once but not much change. How is your cold start???

I had to really drop my minimuum injector pulse and add some timing but mine fires as soon as you turn the key and doent stall

Car runs great on a MAIL ORDER TUNE from Frost. Cold start is no problem, the only thing is it hickups every now and then in certain spots through the rpm range but a real tune will take care of that.

cam only means a stock longblock. You still have to have the bolt ons
