Black- 2002 SS camaro
4.8 cam swap
Ok my buddy has a 05 1500 chevy with the 4.8 an I just did a cam swap in my 02 SS. We were both wondering if we put my stock ls1 cam in the 4.8 would it make a noticeable difference in power or would it be just a waist of r time? Has any1 ever done this?

the 01-02 ls1 cam was the same as the lq4/lq9 6.0 cams, i'm thinking the 4.8 might be the same. Either way, not worth the effort

No it will not benefit him at all. The 02-04 LS6 cam works very well in the 4.8/5.3L engines FWIW.
