317 heads?
Alright some guy on a local site around here is selling a set of 317 heads for $200. He says they are the same as ls6 heads but only difference is the 72cc chamber, true?
Would these heads go good with the V2 cam? Should i jump on it?!

That's true but I wouldn't bother with them on an LS1 (346) as they would lower compression to the 9:1 range. Not good when looking into big camshafts and naturally aspirated,,,,but would work good with a power adder like a procharger or turbo.

Like said, they are great for forced induction as they flow well and lower compression. For a NA build and a bigger camshaft, they would make the car a dog from the lack of compression. You could mill them to alter the chamber size, but will increase chances of PTV clearance issue with some aftermarket cams. Pass on them for a NA build.
