2002 T/A need cam only kit
I need help choosing the best cam for a stock Ls1 that will give me good power to get close to 11s in 1/4 mile. Also would like it to be a Daily driver. Mods I have so far is pacesetter lt, Performabuilt stg.2 tranny, slp 3.73 gears, and tci 3000 stall. Hell if it can get me faster that would be grate my mileage is about to hit 100k Im trying to beat a Mach1 with a supercharger that runs low 11's.

you guys should look at a 228/228 with a high .5xx lift on a 112lsa (more choppy), or 114lsa (better idle)
you will also need a tune and atleast valve springs (like comp 918s).
with an aftermarket stall converter you NEED a tranny cooler' if you haven't put one on yet get one on there ASAP!

I would need springs rockers and the ls2 timing chain? anything else. also is there another cam that may be better? What would all the part numbers be and who makes the cam?

you would need valve springs, you can pickup comp 918's and most likely 7.4" pushrods on Ebay for pretty cheap.
I'd highly recomend timing chain and ported LS6 oil pump, you can get them from lots of our sponsors (KYSpeed, WS6store)
your stock rockers will work fine for cams under .600" lift
I'm recomending a 228 cam only because I went with a 220/224 and wish I had gone alittle bigger. everyone has there own opinion of what they feel is street friendly, lots of people love the 228 and swear by it....do lots of reading and ask lots of questions to right make the righ decisuon for yourself.
you might want to call up Texas Speed and tell tgem exactly what you want to do with the car, and everything about your car ro get "your perfect cam"

With what you have you should be low 12's as it is? What does your car run now?

Fastest yet was a 12.4 with nitto tires street drags but that was with stock tranny which blew. haven't tried the pb tranny yet. I just want the best stock head cam that i can user as a daily driver. That mach1 just ran a 10.6 so I feel like I might have to get lucky with the driving.

It should be just under $400 for a cam give them a call they are more than happy to help. I have some 5.3 heads milled and ported if you are interested
Your car won't be running 10.6's till you ditch the 10 bolt.

Not from a junkyard. You have to go aftermarket, it would have been nice to be able to get a truck rear end in there
