I have an SLP MAF no problems as of yet...Yeah TRICK FLOW has a cam like the one i posted and heads that claim to give you 515hp. Is it just a number they put out to sell or is it proven?

So what short block would go good by good i mean best with that H/C set? I may swap block after i save more money. So i'm trying to make it work right now with what I have but i also want to know about a good short block that would be an easy swap.

Nothing wrong with the block you have, if you go bigger cubes like the ls-2/lq-9 then the cam like a 228 acts like a 220 with bigger cubes. Call trickflow or texas speed they will answer all questions if you are serious.

the 228 cams are doing great things in the 11 sec category.
another is the reverse split tr230 cam from thunderracing.
With a stock motor.
Either cam, plus Long tube headers, Lid, Ls6 or Fast intake, ported TB, UD pulley, upgrade the oil pump, springs and pushrods, Tune, Stall if you have an a4 and clutch/hydrolics upgrade for the M6s and tires. You may find that youll need more injectors but any of that will be revealed in the tune. oh yeah and while your on the motor throw in a set of TR55 plugs.
if the engine is over 100k you may as well swap the timing chain too. 3.42 gears if you want to keep your STOCK rear end together...nothing higher and nothing lower...
and TIRES!! ETs or better.. with that unless you are in the mountains 11s all day....

Sounds like you are going through a lot of work just to beat one car at the strip. Have you thought of nitrous? I have a fbody dry kit from NOS with the added window switch. Its a good kit, comes with everything but the tune. I have the supporting bolt ons, stock ls1, and dyno'd 433hp 477tq. TUNE TUNE TUNE! Youre going to have to tune the car with a cam swap anyways. I say the dry kit since you can get one for a few hundo and have it installed in an afternoon.
A wet kit is more reliable and can spray more, safer. IMO, if youre going to spray more than 125 shot, dont, go back to the plan of all the mods youre talking about here. Youre going to start breaking stuff at the track. Just my 2 cents.

I was thinking I might as well get a new motor I was thinking 383 stroker from TSP and custom cam. I'll just get my Ls1 and put it in my friends 79 T/A.
