1.7/1.8 rockers hp value
what hp increase could be expected from installing 1.7 or 1.8 rockers on a stock 99 ls1

i was looking for bolt on i really dont want to change the cam yet, maybe this winter, just easy cheap boltons or free mods first.

The little increase you see would be better off with a cam It limits your choice of cam due to the ratio and how much it opens the valves. Duration of a cam dictates valve reliefs (in the pistons) more then lift does but lift does come into play. Rockers are not cheap at all And going from 1.7 to 1.8 is not an increase thats worth 10 cents on these motors. OP, like everyone else said, keep stock rockers and spend your money on other parts of the car.

Don't forget that changing rockers also means changing valvesprings aswell.
