02' LS1 Longblock

I have been looking at LS1 engines on ebay f/s and came across this auction of an 02' LS1 longblock going for $885 bid at this present time.

It mentions about it being replaced for a customer because of a wrist pin rattle.

I am just curious as to others opinions about an engine like this because more than likely I will purchase an engine from ebay in the near future.

Would like to learn the pro's and con's in doing this and what to look out for.

well the guy wasn't lying that it came out of a corvette(check out the oil pan)...but still seems fishy..who knows if its an actual 02.

Yea , seems pretty inexpensive for an LS1 , most go for alot more than that.

Also I figured many people on the forums here would have a little more experience with ebay than I do.

go for the ls6 on crateenginedepot.com that comes from a cts-v....no complains from what i read there and great price

Ebay you just got to check the feedback. I won't shop any big ticket items form anyone less than 500 feedback or less than like 99.0%. Read the feedback and check a few of the sales to them. Check and see if the buyers are all 1-5's or if there are several 200+ buyers to help ensure they are selling alot or just phantom selling.
