    Thought I would mention also

Yesterday, while at a family gathering I got a glimpse of my wifes cousin's 2002 ls1 m6 black ss. Looks identical to the one I sold but has black leather and only 3400 original miles

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

DAMN! that's a nice looking lt1. is that factory paint? I didn't think they came in silver...maybe the 97s' did? from the rear it looks like an ls1 b/c the 97's had the ls1 3-part lights. Nice looking car, love the color combos.

    reasons

I didnt sell the Ls1 to get a Lt1. I sold the ls1 because it was costing my family too much at the time. Bills have since came back into line. My brother owned the Lt1 since it had 30,000 miles. It has since had a gm replacement trans, Borla cat back, window tint z06 wheels stereo system etc. He replaced the ac system with all gm components the opti, the water pump pulleys , balancer etc. It has 163000 miles on it and will still kick you in the pants. He clay barred it and waxed it very often. The paint is factory. He used a high dollar soap that a guy comes to the body shop he works at and sells. It works wonders, Beats anything you can get at the store. The engine bay despite the miles is clean enough to eat off of it. Heres the kicker. I had a 96 chevy truck that I have driven hard since 99 it had a 167000 miles on it, ac broken, exhaust rusted out, brakes worn out , and so on. I guessed I could only get 4000 out of it in the condition it was in. He said he needed a truck and I was kinda tired of mine. We traded straight up. Car drives tight so I figured it was a good trade. I like the Ls1 eng, but a camaro with a v8 is still a camaro with a v8. I am thinking of upgrading it to a stroker with lt4 heads, intake and hot cam.

Hey I lived in Independence Ky worked off colerain ave in Cinncinatti managing railroad ops there for a short time. I would take the Ls1 from Florence to independence on the back roads 541??, I think. Anyways was 2 laned with a top safe speed of about 60 with hairpin 40 mph max curves. I loved to put the traction control on and hammer down with the black ss I had at the time through there.
