The hood is 1/2 the weight of the factory hood.

The hood comes with an inner plate that screws on underneath and seals all the holes for driving in the rain.
When the plate is out, under hood temp drops 20-30 degrees.

52 yrs old? I'm 24 and I've learned that vettes are EVERYWHERE, but a numbers matching registered black on black '69 Z. Did you have one hell of a brain fart. Sorry but I had to get it out of me.

I knew you guys would tear me up on that one!
That car WAS the ultimate machine,I owned it for 12 years, wasted my back in a wreck(not in the Z28) and couldn't shift it anymore.
I literally cried when I sold it.
I searched for 2 years to replace it with another vintage muscle car with an automatic but couldn't find what I wanted, then I read an ad for the Corvette, called the guy at 6:00 in the morning and was at the bank at 9:00 getting him the cash.
That was in 2001,I paid $21,000.00 for it,it booked at well over $28,000.00!
Right place at the right time!

With all this response,I should have started a thread on "the rides we've HAD"!lol
Here's some more for you guys, before I bought the Z28 I had a 1969 Vette,427,4spd,I paid 5k for it in 1981 and it wasn't a waste basket,it was freakin' fast!If you've ever had the op to ride in one,you know what I'm talkin' about!
1st to 2nd @ 65mph and the torque would rip your head off!
I sold it 2 years later for $6,500.00.
When I sold my Z28,in 1999,you could by a 1970 Hemi Cuda for 50K,a 69 GTO Judge convert w/a 4spd for 35K and a 1970 Shelby GT 500 Mustang for 55K,that was what the market bore then, who knew what they would go up to today(source,Old Car Trader,Aug.1999)!
