Not real big motor plans, just factory p&p heads with comp cams springs and lifters, manley valves, 1.75 rockers, and lingenfelter GT-1 cam. I havnt made up my mind on an intake or tuner yet, but I think Im gonna go with the F.A.S.T. intake manifold and E.F.I. Live tuner. The truck has a 3.73 gear already and I'm ordering headers and a "Y'd" three inch exhaust with SLP Loudmouth muffler.

I must agree that cheap equals bad ride with these trucks. Mine is lowered with the 2" coil springs in the front with 3" blocks in the rear. The truck has Lowered Shocks all the way around which are incredible for helping the lowered ride, and I installed bags in the rear for added cushion and ride height leveling for when I pull trailors. I have found that other than large pot holes and humps my truck rides about as good as a factory 2wd silverado. The wheels and tires make a huge difference too, I stayed with 20s so I could keep some sidewall and more air in the tires for cushion. I could fit 24" wheels under there but itd really ride like shit and Id run the risk of going bankrupt on tires and cracking the wheels as much as i drive it.

Good looking truck. Only thing I have to say is have the mirrors and handles painted(before they naturally fade) since in true Chevy fit and finish their too cheap to paint them I just got some chrome covers for my Trailblazer since the 3stage red paint is a paint to match and I have chromee 22's and a billet grill. I wish i would have got the 5.3 instead of the 4.2 but it was cheap and looked like brand new and every option.

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
Custom true duals with Magnaflow mufflers. But close.
SLP is crap man. It is NOTHING against your truck. That LM 'muffler' is no muffler. Doesn't sound good....unless you like how the garbage truck sounds right after picking up your trash.
It is a resonator. Only thing going for it is the free-flowing side of things...because it is basically just pipe with a little packing around it.
Maybe....
But true. And most everyone knows it.
Again, nothing against the truck. Looks good2008 Trailblazer SS

Well like i said in my member introduction. Im new on the gen III scene and im not sure what's good or not. I take constructive comments and suggestions. The SlP LM is not on the truck yet so now i know the consensus and i should go to something else. Right now and in the pictures.it has factory cats and y back to a flowmaster with duals. But im in the market for opening it up a bit for.the heads n cam

SLP is just the butt of the GenIII/IV part shops.
They did good work with the GM cars they lightly modded....but their parts are 'blah' at best. Old designs, no customer service (one of their reps called me a liar on the phone...over a $170 part), overpriced, and generally aren't worth it.
I won't use anything but Magnaflow on my cars....but that is an opinion. For me, it is sound and performance.
