My new Sunset Orange 02 SS on 20s !

Well some of you know I had the white 01 z28 I did a little makeover on and I recently sold it. I picked up this 02 SS from California from a forum member on ls1tech.com and had it trailered to Detroit where I drove it over the border and picked it up. As I did on the white Z I had a plan in place to transform it to how I liked and ordered all the parts while I completed the transaction. Here's a few before/after pics....

35th anniv wheels came on the car. Didnt look bad.


Cleaned em up and sold em in a day !


Slapped on the winters and didnt wash the car for a week until I had all the parts in place...


New headlights and clear corners... a little perspective on the difference.

Car and driver tire comparo winner... Hankook ventus v12. For the price.. awesome tire !


While doing the Ground control/Bilstein change painted the brakes and rotors. #650 front #200 rear. amazing ride. even with a baby seat !!



Now sitting on custom designed (by me!) rear spring seat isolators to replace heater hose mod and lower the rear further as I wanted.

Love that color and the wheels look great. That is still my favorite color on a fbody. Wish it would have been availablein 98 when we got mine.

Thanks guys for the kind words There were a few slight changes throughout the pics the first 2 were the day I finished the suspension and put on the wheels, the very last 2 pics are with the new isolators dropping the rear another 1/3 inch and with the tuner lugnuts replacing the stock bolts.

Im about to head into the garage to put on these new wheel spacers and doug rippie wheel studs on the front to bring the wheels out a tad.



Hopefully tomorrow if Im not so lazy I can get the subthump setup and amp into the back and out on the gage trim on. I also ordered a RK sport Carbon fiber grille that should get here pretty soon !

CMS tune
Ground control coil overs #650/200 on Bilsteins
Green air filter
MGW shifter

Crane 1.85 rrs and comp 918s to be installed soon !
