It gets a ton of attension and not to many laughs. I get more s**t from my wife and co-workers than anyone else. They call it the barney mobile.

That is such a hot color. I love the purple, and it is so hot in the sun when the light hits it.

That is quite a rare car you have there. Was it from the factory purple? I know you said one of 42. I've heard lower than that (10 if I remember right). Which is odd, since I think that one of the TA commercials was a purple TA.

Beautiful car, take special care of it. It is definitely rare whether it's 10 or 42.

Thanks, I ordered it as a purple TA. It is a factory color that was only ran for half the year from what I have heard. I have only seen a few other Firebirds in this color but, none where a TA convertable.

From the 98 Firbird Production numbers that I have downloaded, it shows only 42 TA convertibles in purple. The 10 you might be thinking of are the WS6's. I did think of getting that package when I ordered the car but, I would have not been able to get the chrome rims. Also, the exhaust was really stupid. It had one 3" exhaust tip on the drivers side and the other side was empty. I have seen this exhaust and it looks like the car is missing something or a V6 TA.

Most people think purple is a womans color but hot damn.......only a real man can drive a real car painted purple!
