Got a DD!
2012 Cruze RS 1LT, great little car! Just what the wife and I were looking for. I gotta say, I'm going to love the remote start and the steering wheel feels great! First thing I did was tint the windows, black emblems have been ordered, dealer sticker should be coming off within the next few days and that's probably all I'll do (well all they'll let me do for a while ). I attempted to remove the front plate but it has damn rivets holding it in! Damn it GM.
First 4 banger car I have ever purchased...

Nice for a DD And you can remove the front plate holder, just drill out the rivets and put in painted plugs in the holes. It could always be put back on, no big deal.

Good looking car. Congrats!
The Caddie had a riveted front plate as well. I drilled them out and then temporarily installed small rubber plugs for a few weeks until my brother-in-law filled the holes and painted that section of the bumper. Not the easiest fix, but certainly looks a hell of a lot better than a plate or a bumper cover with holes in it.

Thanks
I might just let it be, once the new plates come in I think it'll look better. The new TX plates are white with black numbers so they'll kinda match the car and TX is a 2 plate state so they might give me crap about it when I go back (even though I just got stopped once for no front plate in the Trans Am in a total of 6 yrs) I might do it later down the road and do a hidden plate under.

Here in Iowa we have a 2 plate law too. Nice ride especially the RS on the side door. Makes it feel like the old z24 Cavalier. You'll enjoy the remote starter. My 08 Avalanche and 07 Equinox have the option. Wouldn't go back to not having it either...kinda like power locks and power windows. Once you have it you'll never go back.

Thanks guys, yeah I wanna put it in my other vehicles now!
OK plates are ugly I refuse to have OK plates just like I refuse to change my number to a 405 number
Oh and I don't wanna pay $800ish dollars upfront to register it either
