    Sunset Orange Metallic
    1999 Camaro SS

    Ditched pewter for orange

    After years of deciding on a color I finally decided to go with Sunset Orange Metallic. When I first got my car 8 years ago I hated SOM on Camaro's, but I grew to like it more and more. On June 1st I dropped my car off for a complete color change and I'm so excited to pick her up.

    Yes, but not the engine bay. I have a LS1 with 10k miles and once I do the swap I'll be taking it back to do the engine bay. You think I should add clear to the engine bay too?

    If I were you I wouldn't add clear coat to the engine bay.
    From factory they dint come like that.
    Unless you want to make it shinny.

    What are you gonna. Do with the old ls1?

    DAYUM!!! That shop is painted your car the RIGHT way!! Completely dismantled the body and sprayed it. Looks killer with the ZR-1s.

    I was thinking the same thing. Well I plan on modding that 10k mile LS1 then putting it in. Until then I'll keep smashing around in my old LS1

    Probably dont need clear in the engine bay. It's incredibly hard to do a repaint on a car with a totally different color, because the only way to do it 100% correctly is to disassemble the entire car and paint it like it was painted at the factory. And I hope tihs shop put on more clear than they do at the factory. That leaves more room for buffing out imperfections and future polishing.
