sweet photoshop skills but at the end of the day our motors just aren't that good looking. Don't get me wrong....I love the LSx motors and there are a few that people have done that look good but in general they're just not really built for looks. GM thought about building them for looks later on then decided to just put fuel rail covers and a turtle shell on them to hide them. I'd rather have HP over looks anyhow.

That's one of the reasons I painted it... the SLP lid looks like shit

If you sand it down enough, the SLP letters come off, then just smooth sand it, primer, paint, clearcoat.

Yea.. we don't have the most aesthetically pleasing engine bay, but it doesn't hurt to try to make it better... especially when it costs 10 dollars in supplies

Agree! The 6ers are'nt much prettier. lol but I'm working on that. I think it's due to the placement of the octopi wire harness. They're just a mess from the factory. They engineered some great motors but whomever designed the harnesses must have borrowed routing tips from a 2 year olds scribble poster. Total cluster imho..

Thanks, but I'm not crazy about strut tower braces, not to mention they do (almost) absolutely shit to the performance of our cars. I'm planning on painting the ls6 manifold white before I install it and get black corvette fuel rail covers.

i bought the hotchkis stb that also attaches to the engine as well to help not break engine mounts at wot and stabilize the engine at wot, they say it helps get more power to the wheels as well by reducing engine lift at wot .and a stb does make a difference, ur car feels alot more solid and in one piece when driving, no jerks or pulls when steering corners or turns. but yea that sounds koo , post some pics when ur done !

The only motors i think look good are the old BBCs, preferably painted orange, with chrome valve covers, steel braided lines, a high rise and a honeycomb filter
