If this is Strano's stuff, it no doubt is built to work great first, and to look great second. I like the amount of drop here. I hate some of these aftermarket springs that just drop the car damn near onto the tires, while doing little for handling and a horrible ride to boot. Screw that.

Cool, I was just curious. I have thought about lowering my 01. Then I picked up a set of autocross (super soft) tires for just the summer, then added some moog HD staibalizer linkages. I adjusted them to be tighter up front than out back and then became undesided on lowering. Mainly because The car handles like it's glued to the road now. I can't break traction even if I tried, and cornering has become nothing short of night and day as opposed to when I was running regular sport tires.. Thanks for the reply I'll add Strano's to the list for the IS Camaro project..

the car is much more planted now during cornering. the car doesnt float. hard to explain really. it is just connected and the car is much more responsive and acts as one. before as you turned you would get a delay, as the body would roll more and back would kind of lag. now it is instant..you turn the wheel it turns..very level.

that is why i am such a fan of the konis. having driven a c5 and a c6 with the z51 package..my bird now imitates/feels the same if not a little better into corners.

i will say this tho. the shocks and springs really needed the panhard bar to tie it together. for that reason alone the panhard bar is probably my best suspension mod to date

Yes I know. EPP sold me on the BMR unit. It's a nice, stout piece, and I never had clearance issues until now obviously. We'll see.

Well took the car out for a short spin today and went into an empty parking lot and made a lot of hard turns..left and right. No noise. Maybe something just settled when I heard the noise the one and only time. Hope so. One less problem to deal with

I'll take a pic tonight with a pop can under there so you can see the clearance. If I can reach, I'll get a measurement for ya.

Jeff. It measured around 4". Was tough to get an exact measurement. The exhaust hasn't scrapped on anything thus far. It was fine even going over a healthy speed bump. You spent quite a bit of time on yours and made sure it tucked up real nicely, so you would possibly have even more.

Thanks C. I have the rears set at full soft and the fronts set at 3 sweeps from full soft. I actually haven't been able to drive it "a lot" as I've been super busy, but I have a 3-day weekend coming up here so I am going to try to get it Zaino'd and take it for a real test drive.

Just the few trips around town I've made here and there, I am really liking how it feels thus far.

Thanks again everyone for the compliments. I'm one step closer to being done with the suspension/drivetrain.

From 4x4 to normal height, I think it could be lower.

Some people want their cars to handle good, not just get slammed on their nuts for looks alone (which is 90% of people that lower their cars I'm guessing). And it's also nice to maintain some degree of streetability with a low hanging exhaust.
