Exactly. Enough searching will pull up anything.

I think DJ and I actually talked about the specs a while back. Solid cam that keeps the 402ci very streetable.
Hey DJ...might be upping my cam next fall, wanna go bigger??

    What longtubes and y-pipe? Cats?

That much air moving almost always means rasp with a y-pipe. Yours doesn't have much, if any.

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but the g5x4 will fit the stock 5.7 LSx....but it is close.

I've read where people have ran that cam on stock cubes, I personally think it's to big for stock cubes but that's personal opinion.

the g5x4 will prob fit in LS1, but it will be almost like putting a Trex cam in.
it will sound like a drag car on LS1 stock block...

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Nice wax job, VAL! Sucker looks great. I think it's cool you're not conforming to the "RamAir hood" call.

Hmmm...I had all kinds of rasp from my old SLP y-pipe.
I bet it was more from the SLP longtubes if it is the same y-pipe yours has.

If I remember right, the g5x4 was designed to compete with the MS series and TRex series cams. Top end large cams made for heavy geared cars.

I've heard the same statement from a few folks... I think the SLP LT is messing up the sound.

that's it exactly, it's not a matter of if that cam will work on stock cubes but what kind of usable hp are you really making on the street with it? I'd much rather have something that makes nice torque across the rpm range than a real peaky cam on the street.

Mine was SO raspy...it was horrible. I pulled everything off and started fresh with the 402.
