I'm sure Smittro can fill you in on making it run good. G'day and welcome to the site. My advice would be sell and get a v-8, other than that you're looking at a turbo, nitrous, or lots of motor work. Can be done though, with time and money. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

Well... Having owned a V6 previously, guess I could chime in.

Few people have done a custom prochrager set up, google "pathogen firebird"
been a many years since I've seen them but she got into low 12's

headers, cam, tune, all the same things you can do to a v8 can also be done with the 3800.. Blower, turbo, meth, wheel stands.... After market is there just gotta dig around a little..

You might look into picking up a super charger off a Grand Prix GTP or Impala. Along with the computer. Might have to get a different hood for it to clear.

...and cut the cowl, and have a TB mount inlet tube made or make one. As the TB is on the back side of those fwd SC's.. @ least that's my plan for later.. You'll also need the injectors and harness..

Yeah wasn't to sure how high the intake would sit in the car. I've got a GTP in the garage. Doesn't really seem all that hard. I haven't a clue what injectors are stock on a V6 Camaro or Firebird, if your planning on upping the boost you'll probably need bigger than what's on the GTP/Impala anyways.

Nah, I only need what I can get out of factory injectors for that project.. Not a drag racer just a little more punch is nice. For everything else there's my current TT project..

Yeah, haven't had a chance to read all the posts on your TT project or view the picture due to being at work. I'll have to check them out at home.

Turbo.... Used waste energy to create large amounts of power. Blower takes some hp to create hp because it's mechanicly driven. Blowers can be somewhat limited in the power they help create. Turbo chargers can be limited as well. Such as, example: Trim characteristics, impeller size, compressor size, inlet-outlet size and so on. For instance a large turbo has more mass and requires more time/pressure to spool, a smaller turbo will spool quicker but can get out of optimal boost range very quickly.. Then there are staged turbos which I don't mess with.. Not that there are'nt good staged setups tho. I just have no use for that type of TT set on my current project. Turbos imho are a science to be explored and researched to find ones own preferances and goals.. But be prepared to dig deep into your pockets for either setup.. FI will not come cheap..

GTP charger would be really difficult, if not impossible. Back in the day of my V6 was a well talked about topic

Difficult maybe, impossible? NO.. If I can build a front mount all one off twin turbo TDC on a car with far less room than a Camaro has under the hood, putting an Eton(sp) 90 on a 3800-II in a Camaro is like a cake walk.. Having the right tools and know how goes a long way. The word for this is usually "custom".. The Eton(sp) is NOT higher than the n/a intake @ all. Ask me how I know...

This is the (01) 3800-II 85mm fly by wire, completely assembled- it's very tall..

This is an assembled 3800-II blower unit..

Not much of a real difference in height..
Hardest part would be getting the TB up front..
for that one could use something like this:

Weld/cut to fit, and cut/machine some nounting plates and.....
