Picking up my v6 in 2 weeks!

I'm excited. when I was 14 my dad had a 95 Z28 and I learned to drive in that sucker. Now I'm getting an 02 v6 and i'm stoked about it. I will admit that when I turned the key it didn't rumble and shake like the old LT1 used to, but I can live with that. I'm older now, more responsible, and gas and insurance is high so I welcome a v6.
I plan no engine mods, untill a few years down the road when I'll drop something in there, be it a built LT1 or insane LS6. But for now, I'mma just keep her clean.

Thank you. I'm very lucky to find her in such good shape. 108K on the clock but well maintained. owned by a man in his early 50's, one owner. 2 Months ago the fuel pump and filter was changed, as well as brakes, and rear shocks. and the 100K tune up was done

    Thanks
Yeah, the black looks sooo sweet. I'm going to have to get some Zaino brothers to being the ultimate shine back. The paints not faded but it can always be better.

Thats about 20 mpg, I can live with that.

Side note Smittro I've been checking out your TT build, its going to be sick. Coming from the 12.5 second import world I can appreciate a good turbo. The sound of a BOV gives me wood. I cant wait to see when you finish it.

    Sadly now demodded :(

You need to polish those headlamp covers.

And my 98 has 181,xxx on it and it runs just fine. Properly taken care of these cars last a long time.
    67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...

2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior

    2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.

I definitely will have them shining, it will be first off the bat.

Cool,on the long life. The guy I've bought it from have been using synthetic for most of the cars life.

Thanks, it's been a long prosess but getting there.. Between work, home, and being a dad, making parts due to the lack of any after/market for the engine things have been comming along as it were..

i dont know why you would drop a lt1 into a 02..that would be pointless. as would dropping any motor into it. when that time comes just buy a z28 or ss or a t/a or ws6 and be on your way...im happy for your purchase but imho you should have got a v8.

My truck crapped out, I had $4000 in the bank, found the v6 for 4K. It was either that or a civic. I think I made the better choice.
As for the LT1, I'm familiar with that motor and what i can do.
I'm liking a stroked 383, but that ain't going to be till the v6 dies, by then I'll probably have a new truck or something and the camaro isn't going to be my DD anymore.
