headers
has anyone used obx headers before and if so did you like them/ what would you recomend

Some say long tubes.. Others run shorts.. I don't know about OBX headers.. I will tell you the gain difference between the 2 won't be substantial @ the same time any will be better than stock logs.. The intake side on the stock l36 cylinder heads is restrictive and little can be done to stock l36 heads for improved flow other than a blower or a spool or 2.. You could P&P them but there's nearly nothing to work with.. Water jackets are too close to the intake port walls..

In these photos is a new set of l36 heads I have in my shop.. If you look above the intake ports you can clearly see the l67 injector bung spots.. Also these are the ports small by any standards..
Exhaust sides don't even match the exhaust manifolds inside diameter. Head (exhaust) openings are oval and the manifold ports are round and over lap the oval in spots..

and i did some research on obx headers apparently they are nothing but trouble for anyone else that may be reading this and thinking about them

Don't get me wrong tho bro.. Many, many folks are making good power on their stock heads but you can only go so far before something will need done on the top end..
