    Finding rockers?

What do you look for on roller rockers, besides stud size and ratio, to match them for you car? I want to get a set for my '95 'Bird with the 3.4 V6, and as everyone knows that has the 3.4, it's a pain in the ass to find performance parts for. I know that for an N/A build, you probably wouldn't want to go over 1.6 or 1.65, but has anyone used a 1.7 roller rocker on an N/A with success? If you have non-self aligning rockers, must you replace them with non-self aligning, or can you replace them with self aligning rockers?

Self aligning rockers?? What "roller rockers" are you talking about?? They made forged cranks, cams, forged rods, pistons, for the 3.4L single cam.. Where are you looking for parts?

1.7's are the same as the 3.1L high valve rockers except the 3.1l does'nt always use roller rockers.. You wont be able to use high valve rockers on your motors heads.. Best you can hope for on you heads is a 1.6 roller top..

some 3.1's use self aligning rockers.. You motor has regular crankem downs.. Your heads require crankem downs..

WHat you can do.... If you want the 1.7 rockers is....

2004 3500 heads, 1995 3100 pushrods.. Push rod guides must be modified to fit, 2004 LS6 GTO valve spring, 3400 pistons 1.7 ratio roller rockers from a Ford small block.

Or use 3500 heads rockers push rods..Both will require different injectors than the 3.4l iron head...
