    95 Camaro

    Engine Swap Question

    I Have Just Purchased A V6 95 Camaro That Had 175xxx Miles On It Until The Prior Owner Put A V6 Out Of A Firebird In It. Is The Wiring And Mounts And All That Other Stuff Able To Take A V8? What Should I Be Looking Out For In Trouble Spots Until I Do The Swap. What Are Major Problems On The V6 Camaros/firebirds? Any Help Is Appreciated.

    Which engine is it that's in your car? They switched halfway through 95 from 3.4 to 3.8 V6's, but that's just for the year of your car, you didn't mention what year the engine was that was swapped in.

    Well my bird has the 3.8 in it, but I do know that there really aren't many cronic problems with these cars. I know that after time it's not uncommon for guys to have to replace their rear main seal, but really other than that, I only really ever hear about routine maintenance on them.

    don't know much personally, but this might be worth your time. it is probably more cost efficient to just pick up a good deal on an LS1 trans am or camaro.

    I swapped an ls1 into a 94 camaro, you'll have to worry about computer, wiriing harnesses, switching over to OBD2, suspension, rear end posi, driveshaft, intake, exhaust, k member and motor mounts, and a good engine/trans combo. If i had to do it again, I would of just gotten the ls1

    Unfortunately, there's no such thing as an "Engine Swap" in these cars. You basically have to rebuild the entire car by the time it's over!

    well if you alerady have the v8, you can throw in a stroker
