I'm confused...you say your car is a 93 RS? But it has a 3.8? Are you sure it's not a 3.4L V6? Base model Firebirds and Camaros came with 3.4 V6's until midway through 95, at which point they switched to using the 3.8.
After we know for sure what engine you have we can help answer the rest of your questions for you.

If your engine looks like this, it's a 3.4. If your engine says 3800 series II right on the top of the engine, then it's the 3.8.

The SC you are refurring to which someone happened to find it on ebay second hand for 800 bucks (dont expect to see one for this cheap too often, I've never heard of one going for that price) is for the 3.8 v6, I used to have it on my car before I took it off and switched to nitrous. They have alot of exhausts out there for your car, check out www.slponline, www.borla, anything really. Keep in mind that any catback for a Lt1 or ls1 will fit your car, with the only difference being the hangers, which any exhaust shop will be able to make work for you anyways. As far as programming, I'm not sure what programming you can do to get rid of governers with your 3.4.

RS wasn't even an option until 1996 either.

amen. figure out what your car can do before you start throwing go-fast parts at it. even the smallest performance part could be more than you can handle (altho i doubt it with the 3.4...it kinda sucks to begin with).
do a head swap. yes its slightly a major undertaking, but it will wake the motor up like nothing else - and get you ready for any other mods you wanna do. i SO wanna dyno. im pretty sure im in the 210+ hp (185 rwhp) and 250+ tq (212 rwtq) range. I just gotta find out for sure
i need a injector upgrade (engine breathes pretty good..its all in the fuel delivery).
anyway. dont give up hope. the 3.4 is decent, just GM didnt put a lotta thought into it like they did the 3.8.
(p.s. for all of you that are gonna say the 3.8 > 3.4... why is it that im running stock gm parts (i didnt port or polish anything..i didnt get anything performance, i just used the updated parts from GM's factory shelf) and i have as much hp and more tq than you? no flames, just don't want people dissin my motor.)

Black- 1999 Pontiac Firebird
Well, they didnt put a whole lot of it into the 3.8 RWD anyways. The FWD engine has much more potential in the latter years.... I am in the 230HP/250TQ range, and I still get laughed at by the V-8 group. Even though I put down more than the 305 TBI/TPI V-8 crew. -Tim
