Wheel hop issues with Koni SA

I just recently installed Koni SA sport shocks to the front and back along with strano lowering springs..So I took her out for a test drive and blew a hole shot it seemed to hook alot better but I had tremendous wheel hop felt like the car was going to break in half...Has anyone else had this problem with this set up ??

Also I was curious on how and what tool to use to adjust the front shocks ?

    Sadly now demodded :(

    I don't think it's a problem with the shocks.

Rather, lowering the car has changed the pinion angle resulting in the wheel hop. LCA mounting brackets and an adjustable torque arm should aid you in fixing the problem.

Like mentioned since you lowered the car it does change suspension geometry and pinion angle which can lead to traction loss.

Did Sam give you any settings on the shocks? I assume you purchased through him since you have his springs.

An item I would recommend is a set of relocation brackets. Before lowering the car the rear control arms should sit parallel with the ground, when you lower the vehicle it puts the front mount of the control arm lower than the rear. This changes the instant center of the car. A set of relocation brackets allows you to keep the vehicle lowered and correct the control arm angle. They bolt to the rear end and lower the control arm in the rear only. Here is a link to better explain them- www.umiperformance.com/2012

    Hope that helps!

I actually got wheel hop after I installed the brackets. An adjustable torque arm would be your best fix.

That could be due to your power or suspension set up. Did you have tire spin before you installed the brackets?

    Of course I did
It never wheel hops on the street though just at the track. I am on the stock suspension currently and the wheel hop is gone.
