What suspension do i have
well i noticed the first few times of driving my 01 Z 6speed hard top, it rides really well and takes corners really well which was unlike my 01 SS that i had a few years ago. So i get underneath the car to check and it has bilstein shocks. The guy whom i bought it from was an old man and had kept the car completly stock nothing done to the car at all. I checked the Vin and i have a FE2 handling package which im sure is not uncommon what does this package consist of, if anyone knows id appreciate the help.

Not 100% sure, but I think FE2 only refers to the quicker ratio steering box....don't think it has anything to do with the Bilstein shocks.
Are you in Glendale, AZ or Glendale, CA???

Im in glendale ca, thanks for the info i figured that the FE2 is a common handling package. The guy whom i bought it from just doesnt seem like the person to upgrade anything on the car but then again who knows.

Black- 2001 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
Mine is an FE2 and it was just a standard car with deCarbons. To the best of my knowledge, the 1le package was unavailable in 2001, and even that either came with Konis or custom valved deCarbons.
If it were an SS, I'd lean towards some SLP options, but you couldn't get those on a plain old Z28. I'm 95% sure those Bilsteins are aftermarket.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
maybe the guy took it in to get replacement shocks at a performance shop and they said "we know decarbons are crap, slap some bilstein's on there"

Ya gotta be the stock shocks are slapped on there and it barely gets by, the car handles really well for everything else being stock the Bilsteins did the job well. Usually when i mod it up i go with springs and shocks the same time but never noticed how much of a difference just by changing shocks makes. The car corners very flat and recovers from dips and bumps very quickly. On rough roads its really harsh but going with good springs and sway bars will really get this thing to corner i think.
