What do I want for suspension upgrades..
Basically I want to lower the car with stranos...but then I have to get shocks. I just drive the car for fun and like to take corners like a bat out of hell and i like to race every now and then so i have no idea what kind of shocks to get.
I need:
Strano springs
Shocks
SFC
Pan hard
what else is a must?

wheel hop is eliminated w/ proper shock choice... relocation only helps reduce it a bit.
I'd go w/ revalved bilsteins from Strano w/ the strano springs.
The PHR, the stock one is great... you can always do taht @ a later time... If anything, I'd look @ bigger front sway bar before touching the PHR.Eugenio_SS
almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)

so what do you think the difference is between revalved bilsteins and koni 4/4 and which do you have? and which would you rather have? and why?

Revalved Bilsteins are non-adjustable shocks.
Yet, the revavling allows to perfectly match the shock w/ the spring rate you have.
The Koni's are great and adjustable, allowing you do adapt for different spring rates, if you change. Also, allows for fine-tuning of preferences on rebound/compression.
Having said that, I would prefer getting a revalved Bilstein w/ proper specs than having an adj shock where it basically allows you to screw up the setup if you don't know how to set-it up right.
Also, an adjustable shock has a reservoir, making the reaction time of the shock slower than a non adjustable.
The advantage of an adjustable, is that you can change springs (spring rate) and not revalve the shock... just change the setting on it.
but how often do you change springs ?
Having said that, I have Koni DAs on all 4 and love them... and even racing, I think I would prefer having setup on a spring rate and then just have properly revalved shocks (cheaper, and perform better).. but that's my preference... for what it's worth.
