    Weight transfer?

On my dad's Formula we're looking for max traction on the street, without drag radials. 315/35 Eagle f1 supercar's don't quite cut it the way it is now. It came with pro kit lowering springs and new stock replacement ws6 shocks. We are eventually going back to stock height because lowered is a pita and it bottoms out/ scrubs too much. Roads here are shit and people can't see a stock height bird even, they'll just run you over. He has the original ws6 springs in a box, but would it be a good idea to trade them for standard T/a-Formula springs plus get some cash out of the deal in an effort to get a little more weight transfer going? I'm sure someone wants a better handling car. We might install QA1's aswell, but are standard T/a-Formula shocks better for traction like the springs? I'm guessing at the springs and shocks being better for traction as they are softer and less handling oriented. amirite?

v-6 springs are softer and would help. loosen or take off the front sway bar. lca relocation brackets.

right now your suspension setup is just terrible for what you're shooting for haha. the lowering springs are stiffer to make up for their short height. stock valved shocks with lowering springs is just not a good combo in any sense. they can't properly handle the spring rates and are constantly partially compressed. this can cause them to wear out prematurely in addition to just not working correctly from the beginning with lowering springs. also, lowering it messes up the rear suspension geometry. without relocation brackets, launching a lowered car is an absolute joke.

ws6 springs/shocks vs base ta springs/shocks depends. some years(98-00.5) came with the 1LE setup but the other years were exactly the same springs as the base TA. the shocks will make very little difference either way. valving changed a tad but the stock shocks are pretty bleh either way.

honestly just putting it back to stock height with stock springs will make it launch a ton better. if you're still in need of traction beyond that, get some poly/poly lca's, relocation brackets, and if you still need more a torque arm. you'll be in heaven. my car hooked wayyyy better at stock height on stock springs than it does now.

An aftermarket TQ arm is what you need to increase bite off the line; plus they don't (usually) hurt handling.

You need a good adj. T/A, LCAs, SFCs and maybe even some QA1s up front if you want to see a significant difference.

QA1s dropped my 60 foot times considerably. Lose the front sway bar and put some skinnies on it too. If the QA1s are too much $$ just get the fronts (R series) and get the Comp Engineering rears. They are cheap.

What QA1s did you go with up front? And what springs? 275? 300?

This guy knows what hes talking about. I had all that on my z28 and it launched and hooked way better than stock.

Can you drive your car on the street with the R series?

Yes no problem. They are a lil bouncy but I'm used to them. Alotta guys prefer the Strange adjustable drag shocks. Look the same and perform as well but last a lil longer before a rebuild is needed, so I hear.

A cool thing about the QA1s is that you can adjust the ride height to wherever you prefer.

No I think spohn has a coil-over rear setup also which I believe would allow ride height as well...I may be mistaken though.

I wouldnt feel comfortable with a rear coil over setup, with the way its setup orginally. Doesnt seem to have enough meat back there for that setup, thats just my opinion.
