UMI stuff installed...here's what I think

I just got done putting the bolt-in rear LCA relocation brackets on. I'm kind of upset with UMI. The lower bolt on the drivers side snapped in half, thats right snapped in half when I tried to torque it! Then the lower bolt on the passenger side had the threads on the nut strip out so I had to use a cutting wheel to get it off. Makes me wonder about the UMI stuff that I just put on my car. Hope it holds up better than the bolts did. I know there good but I'm still a little upset that I had to go out and by more hardware to finish bolting it all up. It's not like it was expensive or anything but still.

But other than that I'm happy with the way the rear LCA brackets and bolt-in SFC's fit. Looks great under there. Doesn't hang low or anything

Never had a problem with UMI.
Ryan has always been great and they back their stuff.

If there is a problem, they fix it. Normally stronger as well...since if you broke the piece it wasn't strong enough. lol
Friend busted a torque arm and they fixed it and re-enforced it. Bastard ain't breaking again.

Well its not like it was a big screw up. I just replaced them with some stronger bolts until I get the welded. I'm going to stick with UMI for all my suspension mods

All UMI on our car -- great fit and well constructed. +1 on Ryan, he really helped me get acclimated to F-body suspension mods after we first purchased our car.

Sucks about the bolts. In the past 2 weeks I just put on UMI sub frame connectors, bolt in LCA relocation brackets, and adjustable LCAs... No problems with any of them and love the way they look. Car feels MUCH better and stiffer.

Yea mine does feel stiffer too and I cant complain about the way they fit. I'm not really hearing anything about other people having issues with the bolts. Maybe it was just my luck

    Hello,

I am sorry to hear you had trouble with the bolts. Unfortunately we do not manufacture the bolts but we do supply grade 10.9 metric bolts with the relocation brackets, which are equal to factory and equal to a grade 8 bolt. The relocation brackets are supplied with 12mm 10.9 bolts for the control arms but we also give you lower grade 7/16" bolts used for the crush spacer only (no load). Did the bolts get used in the correct locations? Just want to double check.. those 7/16" bolts would snap if torqued to a 10.9 12mm spec.

    Thanks!
    Ryan
