Talking UMI New Product Release- Heavy Duty Billet Sway Bar Mounts

    UMI Performance Inc.

Heavy Duty Billet Aluminum Sway Bar Mounts
    Starting at: 89.99/set

These heavy duty sway bar mounts from UMI are CNC machined from beautiful T6-6061 billet aluminum and are nicely sanded with a clear finish to prevent corrosion. Large sway bars place a lot of stress on their mounting points and mounting brackets causing them to flex, bend or even break. These heavy duty aluminum mounts are a new replacement for the stamped steel mounts supplied with most aftermarket sway bars. The UMI brackets are supplied with new greaseable polyurethane bushings and grease fittings. Not only do these brackets reduce flex they offer a great touch to the underneath of your vehicle. Price is per set, one set needed for one sway bar.

    Sizes available- 7/8" (22mm), 1" (25mm), 1-1/4" (32mm), 1-3/8" (35mm)

Boil salt water and add some black "rit" fabric dye.. Place the bushings into the solution and remove from the heat. Let that sit for a while like 30-60 mins.. Parts should come out black. If not enough reheat the solution (bushings removed) and repeat till you acheive the the tone you're happy with..

Yup the salt helps the dye penetrate.. Works on most plastics and on hard nylon parts too.. I discovered this years ago when looking into a better way to change plasitcs colors rather than painting it.. You can't change it back tho it's very much permanent..
