    Umi lcas

i have a pair of lower control arms, that i put on my camaro last year, but they squeeked every time i went over a bump, so i took them off.......im getting ready to uncover the car, and get it ready for the warm weather driving, and id like to put them back on , any way to stop the squeeking??

the lcas have spherical rod ends , and grease fittins on the other end.....which didnt do anything for limmiting noise.

thanks for any help you guys can give me!

Mine have not made any noticeable noise when I replaced them (I have the exact same ones). Some things to check though that might be leading to the noise.

Make sure that you have them on the correct way (spherical end towards the rear end).

Did you apply any of the lubricant supplied (I smeared it all over every bit that has movement) ?

This is more for clunking, but make sure that the adjustment nut is really tight otherwise the spherical end can get loose and bind up and make it sound like you are having rocks thrown up against your floorboard.

I just bought some LCAs and did not get spherical rod ends because several people stated that they make a lot of noise. I also read that the suspension has to be "loaded" when you install the LCRs or they could make noise.

You cant have the suspension loaded and install LCAs. Impossible.
UMI's instructions say to torque them while the suspension is loaded though...

Smear the ends with marine grease. Its what the reccommend.

I thought my LCA's where squeaking also, but after installing the new UMI LCA's and it still squeaked i looked at my sway bar bushing. I used a little Teflon grease on them and it stopped.
