    Sway Bar Size?

Alright let the puns begin, I'll start.

How do I measure the size of my sway bar?

Ok, not the real question but just can't stop giggling.

With out taking the front or rear sway bar off. Was there a standard size sway bar used? Would it be a RPO Code?

I will be replacing my front upper and lower control arm bushings. I know I will need a torque arm busing. So I thought, screw it, why not replace the sway bar busings while I'm dirty. I have all ready replaced the front sway bar end links, not by choice, darn broken bolt.

So, every time I call a part store they ask how big is your sway bar. I say dunno.

    thanks

Standard F-body bars are 30mm Front and 19mm Rear
WS6 and SS have a 32mm Front bar and the rear bar remained the same.

But like said above measure it to be sure.

so the FE2 suspension package on a Z28 is going to be 30mm front and 19mm rear...unless of course someone changed them. is that correct?

So, would a 32MM fit on the back of an SS? Just wondering why they didn't do it originally for more & better handling? Thanx for the info

ok, so i was thinking about bidding on a 1LE front sway bar. I decided to measure mine. I measured the circumference to be about 9.7 cm or about 3 6/8 maybe 3 13/16. It seemed easier to get a closer read using cm.

Ok so a 30 mm dia would be 94.2 mm. A 32 mm dia would be 100.48 mm. So why is mine measuring 31 mm? which is 97.34 mm. I don't have a sticker on my sway bar. I think then I was doing the shocks it came off or maybe never had one. If it came off my wife would have trashed it. The sway bar looks very old and has surface rust near the bushings. No doubt this is from a lot of fluid spill overs.

    I don't have a 1LE RPO code on my door. I'm confused.

1LE's are stripper cars with no options and a Manual trans only.
The best advice I can give you is save your money and buy Strano's 35/22 Hollow swaybar set.
I have them on my car but I also have his Springs and Koni 4/4's.
The difference from Stock is just amazing, The ride is firm but not harsh and the handling is second to none (the Car corners flater then an aircraft carrier).

yeah, i don't think i can bid on that other bar knowing it is only a tiny bit bigger than what i have. I mean why not go for the bigger one right? It's just some times you seem some one starting a bid off real low and you think, that's cheap why not give it a go, lol...
