Suspension Mods
So I'm thinking about suspension mods to help the car hook a little better.
What should I start with?Last edited by jambofla; 02-24-2009 at 10:17 AM.

440 RWHP / 410 TQ- 2000 SLP CAMARO SS
I think Sub Frame Connectors should be first! But then again, I rarely know what I am talking about.
2000 SLP Camaro SS M6 * 515 HP TrickFlow Package * FAST 92 MM Intake * Nick Williams 92 MM TB * Volant CAI * Granatelli MAF * Full Custom True Dual Exhaust with X-Pipe * Tuned by Breathless Performance

eibach drag springs from summit are 260 a set. shocks are a toughy. . . .i only run koni adjustables but they are almost 800 bucks a set. definately the best shock that i am aware of (and i am familiar with all big brands). i also don't drag race much. . . . so for a bout a grand you got yourself some drag suspension. as far as the tubular control arms- - -they run about 1-200 bucks from summit or jegs (depending on which one ya get) - -all ya really need are some tubular ones with urethane bushings for a weekend track car.
2000 red ss: >2" drop, koni adjustables 'n 275 s-compounds all way around, giant brakes, dynatech LT's, borla catback (no plate), t56, tubular everything, HARD TOP, caged, "stock" heads 'n a mean cam. -2* front camber.

There is an UMI Performance store on Ebay
You will have to search through the 98-02 camaro goodies and look for a torque arm or something related and then go to the link.
I ordered bolt in Sub frame connectors, adjustable lower control arms and adj. panhard bar.
I should be very popular at home tonight.

Ive got UMI SFC, on car adjustable panhard, and lower control arms. all top notch quality i couldn't be happier. If you look around every now and then you can catch the UMI stuff on sale.

I think you mean UMI, not CMI...
You might find cheaper places, but most everyone is around the same price. And those that aren't generally get away with low-balling because they don't have the overhead (maybe they work from their kitchens vs. having a real hands on shop) and/or don't take the time with customers to answer their questions, and well.

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
I'd start w/ good shocks.
SFC will help in chassis rigidity... not having the tires get proper contact with the road in all conditions... since the stock shocks suck so bad, that'll be the 1st thing to improve on.
This will improve not only traction, handling and confort as well.Eugenio_SS
almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)
