Suspension maxed out, now what should I do
Does anyone have any ideas on how to make my car hook,
It is a 94 Camaro Z28 and I listed the all the suspention below, any little tricks or ideas you come up with? I am good w/ a welder but don't know to much about making a car hook? Anything i could fabricate to make the car hook better?
QA1 90/10 coil over in front
k-member
lower control arms w/ relocation brackets
no front sway bar and no rear
v6 springs in rear
competition 3-way ajustables in back
10 point cage
spohn ajustable torque arm
non-ajustable but tubular panhard bar
and the car has a 28 tall 11.5 et street slick skinnies in front

by hook you mean strickly on acceleration and not caring about cornering grip ?

You say no rear sway bar ? Do you have the anti roll bar installed ?

I think you should put the rear sway bar back in possibly go with a bigger one, keep the front one off. Also you may want adjust your pinion angle a bit if you haven't done so. -1 to -3 degrees will help preload your suspension during launches. Other than that may be play with your shock valving.
BTW subframe connector will do nothing to make you hook better. It may help stiffening the body a bit more but with the 10point cage you are already doing a bit of that. So it is more of a nice to have than a necessity at this point.Last edited by Killer_bluebird; 04-01-2007 at 07:35 PM.

subframe connectors and reinstall the sway bar. the sway bar actually helps keep the rear level, when launching.

relocate the heavy battery from the front to the rear if you haven't done so already. Maybe start going tubular k member and control arms in the front to lose more weight there. And at the risk of looking like a ricer, !hood lol

What kinda 60' do you have? The set-up you have should hook...
Maybe try some different tires.. maybe try a different launch technique..
Every f-body needs sub-frames, IMO
