I understand what you're sayin. I'm just saying that for a few bucks of material you're prolly paying for the name really.

I followed their directions and it really works i wasnt going to buy it because i told them how others have said it doesnt do anything but then he said follow these directions and you will feel a difference, also if you were to ever lift your front wheels off the ground at the track i would like to have this on there aswell or if your doing hard cornering.

the same could be said about anything, hell why pay over $1500 for a set of cylinder heads when its just aluminum that you can go around and melt soda cans and mold your own cylinder heads, lol to each his own

Its hard to explain but when you do put the bar on you'll notice that it does have enough room to slide from side to side which is why the mounting holes are oval make sure you get the stud centered in the hole, all aplications are a little diferent so just make sure the flange is perfectly flat on both sides and the mouting studs are centered. When its on their straight snug it down then use a tourqe wrench to finish, Im not a nerd know it all Im just going by the directions from the manufacturer.

    Look...

The DO NOT make a difference in handling. Period. The way the uni-body design of our cars is...that area will not see flex.
No offense to the guys at UMI (because I those guys are great and know their shit) but they are still salesmen.

I'm going to be on the side that says they don't do shit. I am also going to say that they don't hurt or take away in performance or handling either. for how cheap they are, I think they're a great cosmetic upgrade for under the hood, but should be done last because they don't matter either way

are you serious ? you post a 5th gen camaro and act like that proves anything about the 4th gens ?

go take a look at your front suspension on your car when it is siting still...try to figure out how the top will see flex ...

it isnt about it being a uni body...it is about the front suspension setup ...if you look at front suspension of our cars..you will notice that most all of the force in cornering and such goes through the lower control arms into the k member...as the upper control arm kind of hangs and isnt under a lot of load.

I bought one used off a local guy. Put it on when I first got the car.
It was more of a pain in the ass than anything b/c I had to remove it later to put my intake on.

I ended up selling it b/c now it just won't fit. I didn't notice any difference before or after.

Major UMI stuff I installed and that made a difference are:
    3 pt. sfc
full length torque arm w/ relocation
    lca relo brackets

You need a Drag Sway Bar...when I pull into my driveway (diagonally from the right), my left rear wheel lifts off of the ground because the suspension is so tight.
