SS springs and konis or bilsteins

Hi, i have a 98 z28 with 93000 on it. I never put shocks on it and want to put new shocks and springs on it. I have Lts and catted y that hangs pretty low. I was wondering if ss springs were the same as z28 or if they would make it a little lower because i dont want it to scrape. Also, will konis or revalved bilsteins make it ride better. Thanks a lot.

With the SS springs it depends on what year springs you are talking about, 98-99(SS and WS6) had 1LE springs while 00-02 had the same springs as the Z28/TA. I do not know if they would lower the car, although back in 2000 a friend bought a 2000 TA WS6 and parked next to me - we were surprised since my car was lower than his(I only had SFC's on at that time for suspension mods).

I have to say the Koni's made mine feel like a different car - once I got them adjusted it rode better than stock and handling was much improved. I can not speak for the bilsteins

+1 for the Koni's - improved ride for a couple of years.

    Hey guys,

I put the Eibach Sportsline springs on my car a while back and am now needing new shocks. I've got a 98 WS-6 and am wondering what you would suggest for shocks?

Please take note that I'm a bit of a tightwad too.

    Thanks,

    Bob

    won't get you anything performance-worthy.

Koni's are the only spring good for lowered rides. They are $850 for all 4

Seriously? There's only one company that does good shocks (I already have springs) for lowered rides?

If true, I guess I have no other choice, but dang, that's a LOT of dough.

Anyone else? I take it shocks aren't a real big topic? Or, would I be better off asking on the general help forum?

I don't want to go into this blind but I'm also somewhat resistant to spending the coin on Koni's if there are other options that perform decently and are less expensive.
