What kind of springs did you order? Is he shipping directly to Calgary?

I should have asked you to tell Sam you heard of his shop from LS1.com. I would like for him to become a sponsor here as we recommend him allot and he should join the community here!

I think I have seen the yellow rx-7 before, when are you scheduled to be at RCMP next? I would for sure stop by and meet a canuck racer family!

Thanks I love the track in your city!
I got the strano springs, and ya he is shipping directly to my place. Actually all three pieces are being shipped separtly. Shocks directly from Koni, pan hard bar from UMI, and springs from strano. And even with three peices being shipped the total shipping was around 90 bucks (can't remember the exact). What a difference from 200 bones from BMR to ship their lowering package. I did tell Sam Jr. that I heard about him from ls1.com, he told me about a posting that showed before and after pics of another guy installing his springs.

The yellow rx-7 isn't my brothers (there are two yellow ones)... my bro isn't quite as competive as those guys.. yet.. he's just getting his car running well. My dad's car is yellow though.

It appears the next race weekend is Aug 11-12.

    Here are some picks:

    Finally

I fiiiiiiiiinally got my shocks and springs (and pan hard rod) installed just yesterday. It took so long because apparently my shock order (even though I ordered back at the end of July) got lost at Koni. Anyway, got them and got them installed. I really like them so far. Exactly what I was after. The ride is firmer but not too firm and the look is 100% better than it was. I haven't really pushed it too hard (yet), but from the ride it has I'm betting the handling is going to be a lot better. I plan on taking a drivers school next srping so that will be a great test.

Anyway, the install wasn't too bad, took a long time but not bad. The only part we had trouble with was that the top bolts on the struts were rusted to shit (one didn't even look like a bolt anymore). Even though there is no rust on the car (orig from Texas, now live in Calgary alberta which is also pretty dry) there must have been some water ontop of the strut for a long time which rusted out the bolts. Anyway, here are some pics before and after and also some measurements before and after.

Before (measurements taken from floor to the wheel well):
    LF: 27 5/16"
    RF: 27 1/8"
    LR: 28 1/4"
    RR: 28 1/4"

    After:
    LF: 26 1/8"
    RF: 25 7/8"
    LR: 27 1/8"
    RR: 27 1/8"

Here are some pics (the ones I took right before the install were shitty, so the before ones are from a while ago)

I couldn't post the pics in the last reply... so here goes again:

There is also a pic showing the stock springs and the strano performance springs and the difference in height. (the first two are before, and the next two are after, but hopefully you'll beable to tell )

Those strano springs do make the car look good.. I've thought about going with them myself. Need to learn more about the spring rates before I decide though.

The spring rates for the strano are front: 550, rear: 150

    strano springs aren't
actually, the rear are technically progressive, but once the load of the car is on them, you're pretty much always @ ~150lbs/in... acting as linear springs.
