    Springs/Shocks or Brakes?

I find myself at a fork in the road. One leads to a nice set of Springs and Shocks, the other to some upgraded brakes. My car is a DD with 89xxx miles on it so I've been researching the springs&shocks for a couple of months and found a pair that I like that offer a good ride and a good look (leaning more towards the ride than the look). On the other side I took my car canyon carving yesterday (western NC mountain roads are fun) and i feel that the brakes are inadequate. After doing research for brakes most brands only carry fronts and not rears, however I prefer to a symmetrical look and feel to the system. Both options have pros and neither really has any cons. Working over the summer i will have enough $$$ to buy one or the other but not both.

    Any opinions?

springs and shocks ...they will completely change the dynmamics of the car ..also propperly mated springs and shocks such as koni adjustables with strano springs will lead to more balanced braking and lead to better braking overall ..so yeah...

Don't know which brake upgrade you were looking at but 6LE sells a c5 brake kit for a decent price. I would say springs, but you could save a little more and di it all at once

You can run front and rear C6Z06 brakes, but it gets kind of pricey and you would need brackets from Kore3...looks amazing though.
But as stated above, I would do suspension first, but in the meantime you could upgrade the pads to at least improve some of the brake fade if that is becoming an issue.

I have the Strano/Koni Pkg along with Sam's Hollow Swaybars and it definetely is second to none. Also upgraded to Premium One Rotors and Hawk HPS pads which provides a vast improvement over the stock braking.

I have new style BMR springs with kyb agx struts and spohn sway bars, UMI lca's, panhard bar, and strut bar all are red powdercoat. Rides nice and handle great with the BFG KDW NT's. As far as brakes I got a set of drilled/ slotted rotors, stainless brake lines, and EBC Red pads, car stops great now and the stainless lines give you a better pedal feel.
