    Spring question

Hey guys I am possibly getting some bilstein hd's with some dms springs, I am on a budget or else I would have gone koni so please don't say koni (because they are the best). My question is does anyone know about the dms springs? My car currently has 18" zr-1's so the first purpose is for the drop the springs provide, next is handling just curious if they are soft like eibachs or if they are at least on par with hotchkiss or strano springs.
    so you get an idea

IMO, go with the SLP bilsteins, not the HDs.

This is also in the "stickys"
    http://www.angelfire.com/my/fastcar/suspension.html

The ride height, and spring rate is very similar to the Eibach LT1 pro-kit.

The main thing is that I am supposed to get springs and shocks for $375. I would rather get the strano springs but I can't seem to find any, also with the bilsteins not a matter of prefrence just happens to be what came up.

Sounds like a good deal , if it's new, or fairly new.

How is it not track legal? If you mean by headers they don't bother you.

Funny, I have about 20 sets in stock......

Bilstein's are not meant for lowering springs, but you can use them. The damping won't be quite as much as it should be. And the SLP's these days are in fact worse than the HD's the way I do them (with a different rear shock valving).

If you can't do Koni (and I'm sorry you can't) the only feasible options left are Bilstein which are a touch weak on valving but are well built so will remain that way for a long time, or KYB AGX's which are better able to control the spring rate and offer you the ability to do some adjusting to suit your needs, but aren't built as well.
